Children's Sunday School
What is Children’s Sunday School?
Children’s Sunday School classes meet most weeks at 10:30 a.m. and are geared towards children Kindergarten through 5th grade. Sunday School is small-group oriented teaching as opposed to the large-group worship experience of Worship Kidstyle.
The H.E.A.R.T of our “Heartshaper” curriculum outlines the core values of the curriculum and the goals that we have for nurturing the faith and educating the hearts and minds of the children. The curriculum provides many opportunities for us to help teach children God’s word and to help them establish a foundational knowledge of the Bible. In that, they may keep God’s word and doing His work deeply rooted in each of their hearts.
Each lesson the children are given the opportunity to interact with and use the Bible. Children hear a Bible story, sing praise music, participate in activities, crafts, games and role-playing exercises geared toward their lives and the world around them. These activities allow them to make age-appropriate responses and choices to situations they may encounter and be challenged with in today’s world.
Each week children receive a take-home paper that parents can and are encouraged to go over with their children and interact with them about what they have learned. It is our hope that these take-home papers can open doors of communication and help parents reinforce the values and morals of what it takes to be a family focused on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
